After spending the weekend of week 4 re-servicing our kit ready for Ex Quick Cover, we started our week 5 strong with a 4 mile booted run as a body of men. It definitely was a change from running as an individual at a best effort pace, learning to keep in step whilst running and learning the technique of speed marching. After the run we then got ready to deploy on Ex Quick Cover.
The exercise consisted of camouflage and concealment, stalking and soldiering techniques such as CQB lanes. The troop thoroughly enjoyed this exercise, we found our admin in the field got better and starting to learn more soldiering techniques in conjunction with passing our weapons handling test, we were able to start firing blanks and becoming more comfortable with the rifle.
All in all another good week for the troop learning and practicing the skills they have been taught.
