164 Troop Diary – Week 6

164 Troop Diary – Week 6

Week 6 has been a week on camp which involved a lot of lectures on first aid and map reading, as well as IMF and swimming. This week has not been as intense with phys however I feel as though this may change next week as we deploy into the field Monday morning on exercise Marshall Star.

Over the past 6 weeks we have been struggling to come together as a troop when it comes to administration but I feel as though the lads are now starting to work together. The standards are starting to improve, however there is still a very long way to go to get this perfected.

All in all this week has been an opportunity for me and the lads to square away all our admin, learn the basics of map reading and start to learn the basics of first aid. Our fitness seems to be improving week on week with IMF and swimming which showed on the four mile run, and we now seem to be working together as a troop. The troop is nervous but eager to deploy into the field and progress into week seven.
