150 TROOP WEEKLY DIARY – WEEK 28
On completion of the Troop’s hardest exercise, a week on camp – where we would get to sleep on a bed in accommodation with hot water – was a welcome relief. It was an important week for the Troop as it was filled with informative lectures on the units that we could join on completion of training. However, the most critical element of the week was the numerous run-throughs of the Commando Tests. We completed the Endurance course on Wednesday and Thursday and the Tarzan Assault Course on Thursday and Friday. This would be both the first and last time we were timed on the tests. It was a welcome relief for most of the Troop when everyone passed and those who did not came close. As the working week concluded, the Troop then moved into the King’s Squad accommodation. This is where we will remain for the next couple of weeks as we complete field firing and await the start of the tests.
