159 Troop Recruit Diary – Week Two

159 Troop Recruit Diary – Week Two

Similar to Week One we soon found ourselves rushed from pillar to post.  Week Two consisted of drill, phys and more lectures about our future careers in the Marines.  On Tuesday we were issued our rifles, the lads were beaming from ear to ear.  That same day we spent we spent our first evening in the field.  This happened to be an experience everyone would never forget.  We were battered with rain, sleet, snow and gale force winds (some would say hurricane standards).  At the end of Week Two we moved from Foundation Block to B Block, this would be our home for the remainder of training.  The Troop are looking forward to Week Three for a number of reasons, it will be another week complete and we get to impress our families on Families Day where they will get to see our transition from civilian life to military life.  Bring on Week Three.
