150 TROOP WEEKLY DIARY – WEEK 11
An early start on Monday morning was the start of a long week. With the weather invariably not in our favour the Troop cracked on with basic firing drills using the indoor ranges and 25m range. Unfortunately, these were the only ranges we could use due to the poor weather conditions. On Tuesday morning we were introduced to Advanced Military Fitness and our first speed march along the beach. After a quick change and breakfast it was straight onto the 100m range although the inclement weather still persisted to cause delays.
Wednesday and Thursday saw the Troop advance onto 200, 300 and 400m ranges. We completed a night shoot as well which the entire Troop passed. We were also given an introduction into the regain and ‘bottom field’ style rope climbs. This proved dramatically harder than anyone expected. The week concluded with everyone conducting tests on the ElectronicTargetRange which proved more challenging as the pressure was now piled on. Everyone left the ranges with good morale and confident that, next week, we would smash the Annual Combat Marksmanship Test.
